Adventurous, fun, and incredibly easy going, Becca and Griffin are taking their ridiculously great haired Canadian love to the great outdoors with a beautiful Kortright affair!

THE GAME PLAN

Taking a stunning yet documentary approach to photography we’re looking to embrace natural moments allowing you to be free and present with those you love. It’s about capturing the genuine happy moments, so that you can look back and remember feeling happy, not staged.

Facing you from the back of the crowd (so that the focus is mainly just on the two of you), facing the crowd from behind you (so that we can capture their expressions as well), far off away in the distance, or a combination of all!

THE SCHEDULE
MAY 28th 2022

7:30am- 12:45pm: Hair & Makeup for Bride + Party (This can change depending on how long they actually need (and how many humans they actually have to do, but I suspect this should work)
Address: Novotel Vaughan, at 200 Bass Pro Mills Dr.

—> Ash will likely start on site with Becca + Team at 8:45am, head to Griffin to do getting ready groom shots for about 11:00am and will then return to Becca for 11:45am to grab final ready shots
(Again, make sure you have snacks or lunch in here as it’ll be your main down time :) )
12:30pm - 1:00pm: Drive to Kortright with Becca.

1:00pm - 1:30pm: Just bride shots (MUAH can continue working on bridal party if needed here)

1:30pm -1:45pm: Buffer Break (Drink Break/Bathroom Break)

1:45pm -2:15pm: First look & Couple Shots

2:15pm - 2:45pm: Buffer Break (Drink Break/Bathroom Break)

2:45pm - 3:30pm: Family Shots

3:30pm - 4:00pm: Buffer Break (Drink Break/Bathroom Break/Breathing break)

4:00pm - 4:30pm: Bridal Party Shots

4:30pm - 5:00pm: Buffer Break (Drink Break/Bathroom Break/Breathing break)

5:00pm: Wedding Ceremony

5:30pm - 5:50pm: Quiet moment for Becca + Griffin to reflect, giggle, and play in some final ‘Golden Hour Shots’ with just the two of them.

5:50 - 6:00pm: Take a shot, take a breath, and have a laugh in the final moments of prep for their grand entrance as Husband & Wife at Reception

6:00pm - Onwards: Enter reception. FUN TIMES!

OUR SETTING

Kortright Convention Centre
Beautiful, natural, elegant and glamorous, this natural Canadian wooded location is the perfect fit for the perfect whimsical forrest wedding

Making use of the bright lights, big trees, and open space - the forrest cathedral, pine forest, maple forest, and glass house will be the best for individual, family, and group shots.

Locations broken down:

There are a MILLION fantastic locations at the Kortright Centre. Some specific key spots are: The Glass House, the Glass house balcony and the Main Hall Balcony. Depending on your vibe of the day/prep space/availability and weather we can pick any of these great options to give you an epic (yet totally timeless) beautiful first look.

Other notable spots on the premises to give us some different shoot locations and looks:

The Pine Forrest (North and east aof main building) - this is where you get those beautiful “lined tree” shots
Cathedral of Trees (This is the showstopper) with big sloping pathways that lead up to it, it’s an epic shot for faraways or larger group shots

The Maple Tree Forrest (South and West of visitors centre) these are the typical wooden path shots and are stunning
Horses on the property (Forest pathways) it may be too early for the local horses to be out but it might be worth asking the wedding planner if that’s something you’re into
The Glass House (Brilliant spot to take shots in if it happens to rain)… but even if not, it’s the most lovely location that will get you a really neat look and feel (plus we can play with the glass windows for effect (yay!)
The Theatre (If you two are big movie goers we can totally ask to do some shots in the theatre there if you’re into it)

Looking for more intimate places away where the first-look can take place as well as some separate couple + family portraits, from what I can see, I think monopolizing on all the beautiful greenery is the best plan of action, and we’re going to (hopefully) do it all before the guests even arrive.

INSPO WEDDING SHOTS

These shots below are some samples as to what we’re going to be going for. The aim of the game is going to be capturing all the natural love, warmth, happiness exactly how it is. Minimal posing (unless you want more), all the laughing, and so much loving.
