OUR SETTING
The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club
The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club is conveniently located in North Toronto, just off Highway 401, between Avenue Road and Yonge Street. Our full-service private club serves as a vital community for individuals, families and sports enthusiasts of all ages.
Making use of the sprawling lawn, big windows, ivy covered walls, and open space - the back of the club and the front of the natural light from the wall length windows are where I’m banking we’ll get our best individual, family, and group shots.
If these Muskoka chairs are going to be there they’d make great accents for some groomsmen/bridesmaids shots :)
I’ll have to scout out the location a bit once I get there to find the perfect spots, but I love the idea of having some group shots in the middle of the tree lined road, and having a couple shots of you two both in front of the green foliage, as well as in front of that iconic red door! :)
Looking for more intimate places away where the first-look can take place as well as some separate couple + family portraits, from what I can see, I think monopolizing on some beautiful greenery could be a great plan of action before guests arrive.
If you’re comfortable we can venture out to York Mills Valley Park, which doesn’t seem to be too far for a couple epic shots, or, if you’d rather stay a bit closer outside of the club could be fantastic for some quick lawn shots of the Bride + Groom (plus bridal party/family).
(This was just what I could see off of Google if there are other great spots that are slightly away, or in their own space so that you two can have a couple private moments do let me know)
INSPO WEDDING SHOTS
These shots below are some samples as to what we’re going to be going for. The aim of the game is going to be capturing all the natural love, warmth, happiness exactly how it is. Minimal posing (unless you want more), all the laughing, and so much loving.
VIDEOGRAPHER OPTIONS
There are so many perks to having a videographer on your wedding day and thankfully, there are a whole bunch of great videographers out there!
The biggest thing with wedding day videography that you have to consider is what exactly you’re looking for. Epic drone footage?
Full wedding coverage (all the speeches, every moment of the ceremony, etc)? Just a fun highlight reel? Once you have that figured out you’ll have to figure out your budget - some range from the shy $1000’s mark all the way up to the $4000’s so it’s important that you find something that works for you.
Below are some of the better ones that reached out to me saying they were available on the date. Have a look through and let me know if there are any you’d like me to reach out to directly.
As always, these are just suggestions, feel free to add in any other shots you like, things you want to note, stuff we should jot down. :)
